About Maltalingua Junior — a safe, award-winning English summer camp and junior programme in Malta.
Maltalingua Junior offers English courses in Malta for juniors aged 8 to 17 — a fun, safe and confidence-building junior summer camp experience, run by a small, British-owned school that has taught English in Malta since 2012. Available in summer, Easter and autumn, our English summer school in Malta combines English lessons with sports, excursions and round-the-clock care.
Our junior programme
Lessons follow the National Geographic Learning “Voices” syllabus and our Active Language Learning method, where children and teens practise English through projects, games, conversation clubs and team challenges. It is learning that feels like play — so students gain confidence quickly and make international friendships that last.
Everything organised — what’s included
Our junior programme is fully organised, so parents have nothing to worry about. Every booking includes:
- English lessons — small classes of max 15, taught by qualified, caring teachers.
- Full accommodation — supervised junior residence or a carefully vetted host family.
- All meals — breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day.
- Activities & excursions — sports, beach days, boat trips and cultural visits.
- Airport transfers — arrival and departure included.
- 24/7 supervision — a named, multilingual welfare team around the clock.
A typical day
- Morning — English lessons using our Active Language Learning method.
- Afternoon — sports, beach time, team games or a guided excursion.
- Evening — a supervised social programme: discos, quiz nights, talent shows and the famous colour party.

Beyond the classroom, juniors explore the best of Malta — boat trips to the Blue Lagoon and Comino, beach afternoons, historic Valletta and Mdina, water sports and lively themed evenings. Every activity is fully supervised and designed to help students use their English in the real world while making friends from around the globe.

Our junior programme has been shortlisted for the StudyTravel “Junior Course for Under 18s” award — one of very few schools worldwide recognised in this category — and the school is EAQUALS-accredited and licensed by the Malta ELT Council.
Where juniors stay
Our junior summer camp is based at a safe, modern campus in St Paul’s Bay, a family-friendly seaside town in the north of Malta. Students stay either in our supervised junior residence or with carefully selected local host families — whichever suits your child best. Programmes run for kids (8–12) and teens (13–17) in summer, Easter and autumn.
