Maltalingua Pool Tiles Competition – Win an English Course in Malta

Following the success of our popular Maltesers Competition, Maltalingua English Language School in Malta invited students and followers to take part in another exciting giveaway. Our Pool Tiles Competition combined fun and learning with the chance to win an unforgettable English language experience on the island of Malta.

About the Competition

Participants were challenged with the question: “How many tiles are in the Maltalingua pool?”Each tile measures 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm and our pool is packed with thousands of them. We didn’t reveal the full dimensions – contestants had to estimate or even visit our school in Malta to measure for themselves. It was a playful way to get people thinking about our facilities while giving them a chance to win a life-changing study trip.

The Prize Package

The lucky winner received a complete study experience including:

• Two weeks of English language tuition (20 lessons per week) at our EAQUALS-accredited school.
• Two weeks of accommodation in a modern, self-catering school apartment.
• Return airport transfer on arrival and departure.
• Organised activity programme to explore Malta’s culture and landmarks.
• All course materials included.
• Initial level test and official course certificate on completion.
• Free high-speed internet access at school and in the apartment.
• Welcome pack and student discount card for local shops and restaurants.

How to Enter

To take part, entrants submitted:

1. Their best estimate of the number of tiles in the Maltalingua pool.
2. A short explanation of why they wanted to visit Malta and study English with us.

This format allowed participants to showcase their enthusiasm and learn more about our English courses in Malta at the same time. Terms and conditions applied to all entries.

Winner Announcement

UPDATE: We have a winner! Lourdes from Spain came closest to the correct number of tiles and won the two-week English course and accommodation package in Malta.

Correct Answer: There are 71,482 tiles in the Maltalingua pool!
