Here at Maltalingua we want you to have a fun and pleasant stay, so our team is available for you 24hrs a day.
Should you have any queries during your stay, please talk to your Group Leaders immediately. We are here to support you and offer assistance in anything you need.
To help ensure that you are comfortable, it is important that you follow our rules and regulations.
1. Maltalingua Documents
You are to take care of the documents supplied in your welcome pack, such as your Maltalingua Student Card. These documents are not transferable to other students and should be stored in a safe place.
You must carry your Maltalingua Student Card at all times. This card may be requested to attend Maltalingua events.
On arrival, you are given a wristband. It is very important that you wear it at all times. Damaged wristbands are replaced at no charge. Lost wristbands will be replaced at a charge of €5.00.
2. Doctor
Should you require the services of a doctor during your stay in Malta, contact your Group Leader immediately. You are to pay for the doctor’s visit, transport, and medicines. Do not forget to ask the doctor for a receipt for what you paid. This may be claimed through your medical insurance on your return home.
You are also eligible for free healthcare via your EU Health Card; however, waiting times are usually much longer.
3. Schedule and Timetable
Schedule and Timetable – follow the times of school lessons. Drop-off and pick-up of junior students take place in the main hall in the presence of a Group Leader for attendance.
Classes typically start at 09:00 and finish at 12:30 during July & August only. Times are subject to change depending on programming needs.
4. Behaviour
It is essential that you follow the rules and behave appropriately at all times. Failure to follow the rules or misbehaviour will result in us issuing up to 5 strikes.
- Your parents will be notified if you receive 3 or more strikes.
- If 5 strikes are issued, you may be expelled and sent home immediately.
As per the Terms & Conditions, Maltalingua will not refund any expenses resulting from repatriation. Your safety and well-being remain our highest priority.
5. Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking
Maltalingua Juniors are NOT allowed to smoke cigarettes, cannabis, or drink alcohol. These actions are illegal for minors in Malta and carry serious consequences enforced by both the school and the authorities.
All other recreational drugs are strictly prohibited. The Police will take action against offenders, and penalties are severe for anyone found in possession of drugs.
We hope you enjoy your experience and wish you a pleasant stay in Malta!
